At Spent & Spicy, we are champions of the circular economy, turning waste into great taste. Every year, 37 million tonnes of Brewer's Spent Grain (BSG) are produced by the brewing industry, with a massive 20% of it sent straight to landfill where it decomposes into methane. We rescue this highly nutritious, fibre-rich grain straight from the breweries in the heart of Burton-upon-Trent—just 1.5 miles from our facility! Making up 20% of our product, our upcycled BSG cuts greenhouse gas emissions while retaining its nutritional value.
